Man Killed On SR 99 In Edmonds Identified
The collision happened Monday night around 9 p.m., according to Edmonds police.

EDMONDS, WA - The 44-year-old man who was hit by a car on SR 99 in Edmonds Monday night has died, according to police. Romeo Espiritu died of multiple blunt force injuries due to an accident, according to the King County Medical Examiner.
"Initial investigation shows the driver was not impaired and was lawfully driving northbound on Highway 99. Investigation ongoing," Edmonds police wrote in a tweet Tuesday morning.
The incident was reported at around 9 p.m. The pedestrian was crossing near 236th Street Southwest when he was hit. The driver remained at the scene and did not immediately show any signs of impairment, according to Edmonds police.

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment.
