Pilates Edmonds’ Cheree Brodrick Offers Class for Ex-MKG Martial Arts Clients

Proposed class is for those affected by impending closure of MKG Martial Arts who want early morning workout.

In response to the impending closure of MKG Martial Arts on Fourth Avenue North, which Edmonds Patch first reported on Monday, Pilates Edmonds has announced that it is putting together a class for those whose early morning workout routine included a visit to MKG.

“You worked hard to get in shape,” said Pilates Edmonds owner Cheree Brodrick. “Don't loose it. Come and sweat with us.”

Brodrick says MKG's 7 a.m. conditioning class on Tuesdays is done “boot camp”-style with an emphasis on core conditioning.

“One of the participants in that class is also one of my Pilates clients, and she asked me if the studio could offer a workout to replace her hardcore morning workout,” said Brodrick. “I told her that we would give it a try and see if there was enough interest.”

There was.

That participant, and another who attended MKG, are helping shape the class at Pilates Edmonds. It will be taught by master instructor Cherie Boschma and offered at 7 a.m. on either Tuesday or Thursday, depending on interest.

Those interested can e-mail Brodrick for more information.

Pilates Edmonds is at 307 Bell St., Suite 301, Edmonds. For more information, visit the Web site or call 206-550 9275.
