Police Probe Gang Ties After Edmonds Shooting

A Shoreline man was shot twice early Saturday. Police believe the violence broke out at a prearranged meeting between two groups.

EDMONDS, WA - Edmonds detectives are exploring the possibility that a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning was a dispute between rival gangs.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. Saturday behind the Dairy Queen near the intersection of 212th Street Southwest and 76th Avenue West. The victim, a 17-year-old from Shoreline, was shot in the thigh and buttocks, according to police.

Police believe the victim was at the scene with three other men, but they have been uncooperative with detectives. Police are still looking for the three suspects.
