The standoff ended after a member of the SWAT team fired at the suspect.

EDMONDS, WA - A standoff between police and an armed man barricaded inside an apartment ended after police opened fire on the suspect on Saturday night.
Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, police responded to an apartment along the 20900 block of 76th Avenue West, which is about two blocks north of Woodway High School. The resident of the apartment had been locked out by the suspect. The suspect, a 37-year-old from Edmonds, apparently knew the resident from a previous job.
When police made contact with the man, he came to the door of the apartment armed with a handgun. Police evacuated the area.

The North Sound Metro SWAT team was called to the scene, which began a five-hour standoff with the suspect. Around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, police believed they saw the suspect point a handgun at them, so one officer fired a single shot.
No one was hit, but that caused the suspect to surrender without incident. Lynnwood police are investigating the shooting, and Edmonds police are deciding on how to charge the suspect.
