Prosecutor Declines To Charge Edmonds-Woodway Student

The student allegedly pulled an air gun on another student in a bathroom at Edmonds-Woodway High School.

EDMONDS, WA - The Snohomish County Prosecutor's Office has declined to charge an Edmonds-Woodway High School student who allegedly pulled an air gun on another student on Tuesday, according to police. Edmonds police arrested the student on a second-degree assault charge, but will amend that charge to fourth-degree assault and having a deadly weapon at school.

The 18-year-old student was arrested Tuesday night in Everett. The incident happened in a bathroom at the school around 11:30 a.m., according to to police. The student allegedly put the air gun to the other student's head.

A video of the assault was posted on social media by students, police said, and students who watched the video told school officials.
