Remembering 9/11: Edmonds Group Presents Flag to Fire Station

The red, white and blue flag was created by a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

On Tuesday, the Edmonds-based Peter Puget Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented a flag with the words "We Remember 9/11" to the City of Lynnwood's Blue Ridge Fire Station.

The station is at 18800 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood.

The flag was designed by a DAR member and produced by the National Society. The flag has three componets: A blue background shows a representation of the two World Trade Center buildings in Manhattan. A white section has a design of the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

And a red section shows the Liberty Bell to honor those who lost their lives near Shanksville, PA.

"We Remember 9/11" is written on the bottom of the flag.

The banner was presented to the station by chapter regent Judith Lehman and received by three firefighters who were on duty.
