Reminder: Hazel Miller Plaza Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Is Today

It's at 3 p.m. Come on down!

The City is Edmonds is inviting the public to a today for the new Hazel Miller Plaza at Old Milltown, Fifth Avenue South and Maple Street. It begins 3 p.m.

, a longtime Edmonds resident.

After Miller died in 2009, the Hazel Miller Foundation was created to benefit the people of Edmonds and South Snohomish County.

The Hazel Miller Foundation has given a substantial award to help fund this development of the Plaza.

Along with the Hazel Miller Foundation, the Floretum Garden Club has been integral to the development of this downtown gathering area. The club was key to supporting the Council’s decision to purchase this site, and has been involved in providing numerous donations and assistance with the both the Plaza design and the gardens.
