Rented Lamborghini Wrecked As Driver Flees Edmonds Police

The suspected drunk driver fled police and crashed the 2015 Lamborghini supercar into another vehicle.

EDMONDS, WA - Hopefully he got the rental insurance. A 23-year-old man was arrested Saturday after fleeing from Edmonds police in a rented 2015 Lamborghini. The suspect and his passenger were later arrested, and police believe alcohol was involved.

Around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Edmonds police tried to pull the driver over in the vicinity of the Taste of Edmonds festival after an officer saw a woman leaning out the window holding a beer. When police tried to pull the car over, the driver sped off out of the downtown area along SR 104.

Police briefly chased the car, but stopped due to unsafe conditions. The driver ended up crashing the supercar near 226th Street Southwest, striking another vehicle. No one was injured in the crash.

Police arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI and eluding police. His 20-year-old passenger was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol.

According to police, the driver's brother rented the Lamborghini. The car sustained significant damage, police said.
