SeaWolves FC Come Up Short in 1-0 Loss to Washington Crossfire
The Edmonds-based soccer team is now 1-1.

The North Sound SeaWolves FC put together a solid defensive effort but was unable to finish, losing to the Washington Crossfire 1-0 in a Premier Development League match Wednesday at Redmond High School.
Eli Gordley scored in the 25th minute for the Crossfire, beating SeaWolvesβ keeper Claudio Lazar for the matchβs only goal.
βWe couldnβt keep good possession in the final third to allow us to attack the goal,β said coach Alex Silva of the Edmonds-based SeaWolves.. βThatβs something weβre going to have to work on. We had some chances in the second half but couldnβt tie it.β

The SeaWolves fell to 1-1 after a over Fraser Valley. Washington is now 2-0-1.
The SeaWolves next play at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 1 in their home opener at Edmonds Stadium on the campus of against the Crossfire.

βWeβre looking forward to playing our first game at home,β Silva said. βItβs going to be a fun atmosphere and a good game. Weβll also have another week of practice to get used to playing together so we should be a better team by then.β
