Sex Offender Arrested In 99 Ranch Child Assault: Police
The 50-year-old man allegedly tried to molest a young girl at the Edmonds supermarket in late September.
EDMONDS, WA - A 50-year-old sex offender was arrested by Edmonds police for sexually assaulting a young girl last month at a local supermarket. Police publicized video of the suspect exhibiting lewd behavior, and tips from the public helped them track the suspect down.
The incident happened Sept. 15 at the 99 Ranch supermarket. The suspect, a North Bend resident, allegedly assaulted the 9-year-old midday in the middle of the supermarket. He was later caught on camera at the H-Mart in Lynnwood behaving lewdly.
He was arrested Wednesday at his home on a charge of first-degree child molestation, according to police. He is being held at the Snohomish County Jail.
