The 17-year-old girl was found in a backyard of a home on the eastside of Bellevue.

BELLEVUE, WA - A 17-year-old Snohomish County girl died under suspicious circumstances Wednesday night at a home in Bellevue. Police have not said she was murdered, but have said she did not die of "natural causes."

Police were called to a home along the 600 block of 153rd Avenue Northeast Wednesday just before 8 p.m. At the scene, they found the girl in the backyard. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful.

"At this point in the investigation, her death does not appear to be from natural causes, though there were no obvious signs of trauma," Bellevue police said in an update Thursday morning.
