Speeding Driver Hits State Patrol Car In Edmonds: Report

The driver was arrested and authorities believe he was under the influence of alcohol.

EDMONDS, WA - A driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol hit a Washington State Patrol officer's car along I-5 in Edmonds overnight Monday, according to reports.

The driver was spotted moving at speeds of over 100 MPH, according to KOMO News, and then hit a state patrol car that was parked along the highway that was dealing with another DUI incident.

No one was injured, fortunately, because the driver had slowed down by the time he hit the trooper's car. No one was inside the state patrol car when it was hit. The driver was taken into custody at the scene.
