Stabbing Reported at Alderwood Mall

LYNWOOD, WA — An employee at the food court of the Alderwood Mall in Lynwood was stabbed after police say a man got into a confrontation with the employee.

The stabbing took place in the food court just before 2 p.m., police said. The suspect, a 37-year-old man, has been taken into custody and the victim was taken to HarborView Hospital.

The status of the employee who was stabbed is not known.

Visitors at the mall reported via Twitter that people ran out of the mall following the stabbing.

This is the second stabbing reported at the mall in less than a month. On Christmas eve, a man was stabbed trying to break up a fight.
