Traffic Stop In Edmonds Ends With Crash In Shoreline
Edmonds police stopped a driver who was behaving erratically. The driver took off toward Shoreline.
EDMONDS, WA - A three-car crash along Aurora Avenue in Shoreline Thursday night started with a call about a driver behaving erratically in Edmonds, according to police.
Around 9 p.m., Shoreline fire reported that the crash had closed Aurora in both directions between 186th and 192nd streets. Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but the suspect fled the scene.
But the incident began farther north near Aurora and 220th Street in Edmonds when police there got a call about an erratic driver. An officer stopped the vehicle, but it sped off as the officer was approaching, according to Edmonds police.

"A brief pursuit was started but terminated by the officer because of the way the driver was operating the vehicle," Edmonds police Sgt. Shane Hawley said Friday.
Edmonds sent a K9 team to help track the suspect after the crash, but it appears he got away.
