Video Of Mukilteo Plane Crash Shows Moment Of Impact

A video of the airplane crash in Mukilteo Tuesday afternoon has emerged.

MUKILTEO, WA - A stunning clip of the moment a small airplane crashed along a busy Mukilteo street has emerged. The crash happened Tuesday afternoon just before 4 p.m. Amazingly, there were only minor injuries, according to Mukilteo police.

The small single-engine plane had just taken off from Paine Field when it crashed along Harbor Point Boulevard Southwest near Mukilteo Speedway. That area contains a number of commercial businesses, and is the main thruway from Boeing's Paine Field and Mukilteo to points south.

Several vehicles were damaged in the crash, and appear to have caught on fire, according to pictures from the scene provided by Mukilteo police. Two people were hurt in the crash, but only one was taken to a hospital for treatment.

In the video, the driver pulls up to a stop light, and out of nowhere the plane hits an electrical wire, bursts into flames, and then appears to crash into the street. Witnesses said that the plane appeared to "literally" fall out of the sky.
