Washington Driver Says 'Itchy Mustache' Caused Him To Crash
A man who crashed his car in Snohomish County told state police he lost control because of itchy facial hair.

SMOKEY POINT, WA - Most police officers have probably heard scores of oddball excuses for bad driving. But on Wednesday, a Washington State Patrol trooper heard a new one: the driver said he crashed because of an itchy mustache.
The crash happened Wednesday afternoon along I-5 near Smokey Point, according to Washington State Patrol. State police spokesman remarked on Twitter that it's not even "movember" yet.

This hairy excuse comes just a day after a man in Michigan's Upper Peninsula said that he crashed his car because he saw a spider. The man was “distracted by a spider on the visor above his head," according police.

When the Leelanau County Sheriff’s Office posted about the incident on Facebook, people had a lot of fun making fun of the man. One asked whether the spider is "still at large."
Here in Washington, people were having fun with the mustache crash. One man pointed out that Mario and Luigi's mustaches often cause them to crash, too.

@wspd7pio @Q13FOX Its also why Mario and Luigi have wrecked numerous times in #MarioKart.
