Washington Shooting: 3 Killed at Party in Mukilteo

A suspect fled the scene but was captured by police roughly 2 hours later.

MUKILTEO, WA — Three people were killed in a shooting early Saturday morning at a gathering in a small town in Washington, authorities said.

At least one suspect is in custody, the City of Mukilteo announced via Twitter. According to jail records, he was identified as 19-year-old Allen Ivanov.

Around 15-20 people were at the gathering in the neighborhood of Chennault in the city when the shooting took place around 12:30 a.m.

A fourth person was injured in the shooting and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

KOMO News reported the gunman fled the scene but was later arrested around two hours later in Lewis County after police identified a suspect and a vehicle by conducting interviews with those at the scene. Authorities have not identified the deceased.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately clear.

Mukilteo is roughly a 25 minute drive from Seattle.
