Weekly Newspaper Serving Edmonds to Close After This Month
The final edition of The Weekly Herald is Aug. 29.
The Weekly Herald, a source of news for Edmonds and south Snohomish County residents since 1996, will publish its last edition on Aug. 29.
The Daily Herald of Everett, which publishes the weekly, made the announcement today.
The free Weekly Herald, formerly covered just Edmonds and was known as The Edmonds Enterprise. Its current incarnation served Edmonds, Lynnwood and Mountlake Terrace.

The weekly publication's closure will mean the loss of two full-time positions and eight other part-time and temporary staff.
