Where's Waldo? Well, He'll Be Somewhere in Edmonds
Edmonds Bookshop to participate in July during nationwide celebration of the elusive character.

Where's Waldo? That's up to you to find out.
In celebration of Waldo's longevity and popularity, his American publisher, Candlewick Press, is teaming up with 250 independent bookstores nationwide, including , to have fun and encourage people to visit local businesses.
There is no charge to participate and the game lasts the entire month of July.

The month-long game of Where’s Waldo? will culminate in a birthday party at the bookshop at 4 p.m. on July 31.
Waldo is the creation of Martin Handford, whose drawings of crowd scenes (you have to look hard to find Waldo) swept the world in 1987. There are over 55 million Waldo books in print worldwide and they’ve been translated into eighteen languages. An entire generation has grown up searching for Waldo and his cast of wandering companions.

Waldo will be hiding in 20 local shops and restaurants around Edmonds (Savvy Travelers know where to look first!). At each location, once you have found Waldo, you’ll receive an “I found Waldo at _______” card.
Collect at least 16 and bring them back to the Edmonds Bookshop to be entered in prize drawings. Prizes include Waldo swag, bookstore gift certificates, and a 25th anniversary boxed set of six Where’s Waldo? books.
Winners will be selected on July 31 at the Edmonds Bookshop party. The first 100 participants receive a Waldo button. Take a closer look at your favorite Edmonds spots—you never know what else you might find!
