Body Of Woman, 18, Missing After Fall Over Waterfall At State Park Found
The woman, who is from Las Vegas, had climbed over a railing to get a better view of the river.

Update: the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office reported Thursday night that the woman's body was found in a pool at the base of Wallace Falls.
GOLD BAR, WA - An 18-year-old woman from Las Vegas fell into the Wallace River Wednesday night after climbing over a railing with two hiking companions, the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office is reporting. The trio were hiking at Wallace Falls State Park just before 8 p.m. Wednesday when they climbed over a protective railing to reach an island in the middle of the Wallace River.
According to police, the trio were heading back to the trail when they heard the woman cry out, and then heard a splash. Search and rescue crews found the woman's shoes and GoPro stick at the base of Wallace Falls.

Search crews will return to the state park Thursday to continue searching for the woman. She was reportedly attending a local community college.
Wallace Falls is one of the most popular state parks in Washington. The trail to the 265-foot, three-tiered waterfall is busy and marked with bridges and railings to keep visitors safe.

The park was closed Thursday due to the search and rescue operation.
