UPDATE: Convenience-Store Robberies Likely Connected to 2 In Federal Way

Trio of men took cigarettes, money from Maple Valley gas stations; pair of Federal Way stores were hit earlier this week.

Surveillance photos have been released from a quartet of convenience-store robberies in Maple Valley and Federal Way in the last week, and King County Sheriff's Deputies now believe the two incidents are connected.

While the details of the thefts in Federal Way earlier this week have not been released, Sgt. John Urquhart, spokesman for the Sheriff's Department, said they believe the cases are related through M.O. and suspect description.

According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Department, the first robbery Wednesday took place just before 3 a.m. at the Maple Valley Chevron, 27201 216th Ave. S.E. The masked men came in and took money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.
