$700 Ring Stolen, Hit-and-Run Victim Helps Nab Suspects and Mysterious Food Appears in Fridge in Feb. 15 Police Blotter

DUI: One person was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Farman Street at Kimberly Avenue at 1:13 a.m.

Assault: Police received a report of an assault at a location on Cole Street at 3:08 a.m. The suspect had left the scene an hour prior though the victim remained at the scene.

Utility Problem: Low hanging wires were reported in front of a residence on Cole Street at 8:01 a.m. Comcast was advised.

Ring Stolen: A ring described as a white and yellow gold band with three diamond chips was reportedly taken from a restroom at a facility on Griffin Avenue at 12:39 p.m. It is valued at about $700.

Speeders Beware: Extra patrol has been requested for Christinason Avenue due to racing vehicles after 11:30 a.m.

Hit and Run: A female driver and male passenger were arrested on multiple warrants after they reportedly struck a vehicle on Monroe Avenue but left the scene at 4:08 p.m. The victim vehicle followed them into Buckley where they were intercepted by police. The driver was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended, hit and run and four felony warrants out of Spokane. The passenger was arrested by Buckley police as he had warrants out of Tacoma.

Mysterious Food: Police received a report at 5:12 p.m. of suspicious circumstances at a property on Battersby Avenue. Someone had left food items in the reporting party's freezer while he was gone.

Shoplifting: A theft was reported at a business on Roosevelt Avenue at 6:08 p.m.
