Academic, Athletic Standouts Named Students of Month

Enumclaw pick a standout in golf; Bonney Lake selection captain in football and track. Both have 4.0 grade points.

Tyler Salsbury of Enumclaw and Josh Miller of Bonney Lake Thursday were named Students of the Month by the Enumclaw Rotary Club.

Tyler, son of Lynn and Dave Salsbury, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. A strong academic student taking advanced placement classes, Tyler has a 4.0 cumulative grade point average. Tyler is on the high school golf team, winning the state championship last year and is also an active member of Calvary Presbyterian Church. Tyler has a full ride scholarship to attend the University of Washington next year and play golf working toward a degree in business.

Josh, son of Melissa and Luke Miller, was the recipient from White River High School. A strong academic student taking honors and advanced placement classes, Josh has a 4.0 cumulative GPA. Active in student leadership serving as student body treasurer last year, Josh also plays on the high school football and track teams and is captain of both. Josh plans to attend a four-year school next year and work toward a degree in civil engineering.
