Alvidrez Case Still Awaiting Hearing
A trial date to hear the case of Samuel Shane Alvidrez, a local business owner and martial arts instructor who has been accused of having sexual relations with a minor, has not yet been set.

A case setting hearing which was scheduled Thursday for Samuel Shane Alvidrez, theΒ local business owner and martial arts instructor who has been accused of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old student, was postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, June 30, according to King County Prosecutor's spokesman Dan Donohoe.
Consequently, a trial date has not yet been set for Alvidrez, 49, who wasΒ released on his own personal recognizance at his on June 6.
Alvidrez is theΒ owner of Enumclaw School of Martial Arts, at 1362 Cole St.Β from the King County Prosecutorβs Office accuse Alvidrez of having sexual relations with a female student between March 1, 2010, and June 30, 2010, at his residence and at the martial arts studio, where he is also an instructor.

He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of third-degree rape of a child.
The June 30 hearing begins at 1 p.m. at the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.Β
