
Recreation Leader II: Gym Supervisor

Nature of Work: This is a temporary employee* position that reports to the Recreation Manager. Primary duties include, but are not limited to: preparing gyms for youth and adult basketball and volleyball games, scorekeeping, ensuring proper equipment is used, acting as liason between community and the City, providing information to the public. In addition to these duties, Recreation Leaders may monitor the safety and cleanliness of the activity site, may be required to work special events, evenings, and weekends at any Enumclaw Parks and Recreation location. Individuals must be mature, trustworthy, and able to work independently. The employee is subject to an annual evaluation. A background check is a condition of employment.

- Report any unsafe situations or conditions.
- Inform patrons of rules and policies of the City of Enumclaw.
- Attend scheduled staff meetings.
- Communicate clearly and provide accurate information to the public.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Report any damage, incidents and injuries using appropriate forms.
- Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with other City of Enumclaw employees to provide safe conditions for the public.
- Provide quality customer service for the patrons and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with patrons and co-workers.
- General knowledge of basketball is desirable.

- Able to perform duties involving physical labor; such as bending, kneeling, standing, reaching, climbing, stooping, squatting, pushing, and twisting.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist during emergency situations.
Salary:
- $9.04 - $12.50 per hour, DOE
Hours and Site Locations:
- Hours vary and scheduled by supervisor
- Work Location is at various schools and Parks program sites.
