My name is Susan. I am a 71-year old published freelance writer, arts publicist and life long community activist/volunteer. I was born, raised & married in King County & worked one year in Enumclaw with developmentally disabled adults many moons ago. I wish to live in this growing little town this summer and rent a room in a quiet, clean home with a professional or retired person (s). My income is very small until I can get re-estblished and find jobs there and I can't afford an apartment yet. I own a house in cattle country Florida that I am putting on the market to sell -trying once again. I usually visit my daughter and her husband and my grandchildren who live in Covington, and my sisters and nieces and nephews spread out all over the Pacific Northwest, every summer. But I have wanted to return permanently so I can be near them for nine long years. I have tried to sell since 2007 but the market in Florida is one of the worst in the country. I am feeling trapped here growing older and living alone so I decided I am not going to let another year go by being so far away from my loved ones. I am in excellent health and have good energy, like yoga and walking, and want to become active in the community.
