Arrest for Assaulting Mother, Copper Wire Theft and Youths on Semis in May 10 Blotter

Property Found: An officer reported while at the library at 8:31 a.m. he found a backpack and skateboard shoved into the bushes nearby. It was brought back to the police station for safe keeping.
Assault: One person was taken into custody at a location on Gillis Court at 1:48 p.m. for assaulting their mother.
Traffic Assist: Police assisted with traffic control following an accident on State Route 169 at S.E. 400th Street at 3:21 p.m.

Metal Theft: A residential burglary was reported at 5:18 p.m. at a home listed for sale on Semanski Street. Copper wire was stolen from the property.
Juveniles: Police responded to a report of juveniles on top of semi trucks parked on the 2200 block of Cole Street at 8:42 p.m. The responding officers admonished the youth to stay off private property.

Driving Offense: A driver was cited for not having a valid operating license following a traffic stop on Florence Street at Roosevelt Avenue at 9:33 p.m. The driver's vehicle was impounded.
DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on Warner Avenue at State Route 410 at 9:35 p.m.
