Adorned by Nature

In spite of the damp and penetrating cold, nature had a treat for Enumclaw residents this morning; trees and bushes adorned with thousands of tiny frozen water drops.  This happens when the trees and bushes are below freezing, and the tiny water drops that make up fog are also below freezing, but still exist as liquid water.  When these drops, so tiny that they almost float in place hit the branches they freeze into almost round drops.  This is different from frost where ice crystals grow from water vapor (a gas) on below freezing surfaces.
