Most of us don’t need any official to tell us that this spring (read June) has been especially wet and cold-----but------for fellow scientific nerds here is the official verification.
Across Washington State June 2012 was the coldest June in over 30 years and the 7th coldest June in the past 118 years back to 1895------and-----this was the 2nd wettest June in 118 years in Washington.

My fellow weather nerds tell me that the upper level air flow (at ~18, 000 ft.) was especially strong for June which resulted in the record cold in our area and the record warmth in the Midwest.
With the earth warming up and more energy available to drive the weather patterns during all seasons, these strong spring contrasts in weather are the future for us.
