Don't Forget: Library Information Day Tuesday

All residents concerned with the future operation of the city library are invited to attend this open discussion with Library Board Members and staff.

Discussions over the future operation of the Enumclaw city library have been heated and passionate in recent months.

Many citizens, including some that serve on the city's own Library Board, voiced their displeasure when the city began looking into annexing the library into King County Library System -- so much so that city officials on a move to put the issue to an April special election ballot measure.

City leaders heard the public plea for more information and consideration for alternative ways to sustain and fund this long-standing city institution, which has slowly seen its financial support from the city wither with continuing budget cuts.
