Downed Stop Signs, Dog Hates Crate and Graffiti Problem on Kibler in Sept. 15 to Sept. 17 Blotter

Saturday, Sept. 15

Stop Signs Down: A stop sign was reported down at 7:15 a.m. at Semanski and State Route 410.  A temporary sign was put up until city shops could repair.

A stop sign was reported down at 10:07 a.m. at S.E. 440th Avenue at 244th Avenue S.E. A temporary sign was put up until King County Sheriff's Office could contact road crew for repair.

Property Found: A knife was found at 9:43 a.m. on the grass near the 300 block of Chinook Avenue. It is at the police station.

A citizen turned in a keyfob with two keys and a can opener attached that were found on the 1700 block of Marshall Avenue at 6:08 p.m. The property is at the police station.

Weaving Biker: Police received a report at 1:55 p.m. that a cyclist was weaving in and out of traffic on the 3300 block of Griffin Avenue. The subject was taken to St. Elizabeth.

Traffic Arrest: A driver was arrested for third-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic stop on Harding Street at Griffin Avenue at 3:41 p.m.

Accident: A motorcycle versus pole accident was reported at 6:22 p.m. on Porter Street at Griffin Avenue.

Sunday, Sept. 16

Traffic Arrest: A driver was arrested for third-degree driving while licenses suspended following a traffic stop on Porter Street at Myrtle Avenue at 12:57 a.m.

Dog Hates Crate: Police received a report at 7:32 p.m. that a dog in an apartment on the 700 block of Watson Street sounded to be in distress. The responding officer found the owner of the dog who reported it didn't like to be crated for the night and was making a fuss. The owner was advised of the city noise ordinance.

Monday, Sept. 17

Vandalism: Extra patrol has been requested for the 2000 block of Kibler Avenue overnight due to graffiti painted on windows which has been an ongoing issue.

Crude Language: Police responded to a report at 5:55 p.m. that a group of teens were using profanity in front of young children at a location on the 2200 block of Porter Street. They agreed to tone it down.
