EHS Asks: So You Think You Can Dance?

Tryouts for the award-winning Dance Team start Monday.

“So you think you can dance” has been one of the hottest shows in television for years, and Enumclaw High School is now asking that question of its student body.

EHS has an award-winning dance team. Tryouts are taking place Monday through Thursday Sept. 12-15.

Boys and girls selected will perform all styles of dance this year. Organizers say you don’t have to be professionally trained to be on the team but it’s good to have rhythm, style, musicality and showmanship.

The 2011 Preseason Dance Team from EHS won the school’s first trophy at the Universal Dance Association summer camp at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. The team also was named one of the most-spirited teams, and three members were honored for being inspirational among the 275 participants. The awards are in the showcase in the commons.
