Email to the Editor: More than $6,800 Raised in Salvation Army Holiday Red Kettle Campaign for POM
Plateau Outreach Ministries director Britt Nelson thanks the local community and volunteers for their support of the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.

Plateau Outreach Ministries would like to thank our entire community for their donations to the Salvation Army red kettles over the holidays. Thank You to both Safeway and QFC for allowing us to greet shoppers on various days between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A very big Thank You to the many volunteers who braved the cold and with smiling faces thanked donors! I would like to commend our volunteers for their creativity. We had carolers, iPod bells, reindeer antlers on the family dog, and sleigh bells.
It was great to see everyone sharing their holiday spirit and $6,850 was raised to help support people in our community. These funds will be used through the Salvation Army primarily for utility assistance to people here on the Plateau.
As we see a growing need during the winter months for utility assistance, this additional fund is so appreciated. What a generous and caring community we live in!
Thank you.
