Email to the Editor: Recognizing National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week

National Law Enforcement Appreciation Week (also known as National Police Week and Peace Officer’s Memorial Week) is an annual event celebrated each May in recognition of the men and women of Law Enforcement and the efforts and sacrifices they make each and every day to insure the safety and quality of life in our communities. 

The Enumclaw Police Department, in association with National Law Enforcement Week also honors those men and women who have served our community in the past, all in good standing, as members of the Enumclaw Police Department. 

Enumclaw PD personnel, accompanied by WSP Troopers, marked fifteen sites at the Enumclaw and Buckley cemeteries with a white rose, and a small flag displaying the shoulder patch worn by Enumclaw Police. They were joined by family members of two former Police Chiefs, Bruce Guenther and Henry Anderson. The national law enforcement memorial flag will be flown at the Evergreen Memorial Cemetary this week.
