Enumclaw Area Only Pro-Trump Place In King County

This is the only place in the county where Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton.

ENUMCLAW - It was a narrow victory, but president-elect Donald Trump earned a majority of votes in the King County portion of Legislative District 31, a region that encompasses Enumclaw and much of southeast part of the county.

That's unique because Trump did not get more than 37 percent of the vote in any of the 16 other legislative districts in the county. According to King County Elections, Trump got about 46 percent of the vote (5,825 votes) in the King County portion of this district compared to Clinton, who got 45 percent (5,586 votes).

The Enumclaw area differed from statewide vote totals, too. Clinton beat Trump 54 percent to 36 percent in Washington. That's out of a total of about 3 million votes statewide.
