Enumclaw Fire Reminds Residents: Call 811 Before you Dig
Firefighters responded to a home Sunday for a report of a ruptured gas line. No injuries were reported.
The Enumclaw Fire Department shared an important reminder on its Facebook page Sunday after responding to a home for a ruptured gas line. They wrote:
...The homeowner was excavating his back yard and accidentally dug up a gas line, severing it. A ruptured gas line has the potential to explode with various other dangerous hazards. Please call 811 BEFORE you dig!
