Enumclaw Garden Club's Annual Breakfast for the Birds Next Wednesday
Tickets are $18 and this year's guest speaker is Bruce Richards of U.S. Fish & Wildlife.

Thanks to Diane Franchini who contacted us earlier this month about the Enumclaw Garden Club's Breakfast for the Birds which takes place this year on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Enumclaw High School.
This year's guest speaker is Bruce Richards of U.S. Fish & Wildlife who will be talking about 'Bears in our Backyard' and the role of the Karelian Bear Dogs in locating and saving the bears that wander into our backyards, Franchini said.
For those who aren't familiar with the event, here's what The Courier-Herald said about the event and the organization's history: "The breakfast began as a brunch in 1964 by a group called the Gay Bonnets. There were nine committee members who met at the Sacred Heart Church. Approximately 200 ladies attended then as well. Following the hat parade and meal, the ladies would engage in an afternoon of cards. In time, the Gay Bonnets evolved into the Enumclaw Garden Club and the Breakfast for the Birds."
