“Andrew is a bright and enthusiastic young man and I really enjoyed hosting him in the House of Representatives,” Dahlquist said. “The page program is so important because students can read about how a bill becomes a law and how our form of government works, but the Legislature offers a living and breathing civics lesson. I hope he learned a little something and had a nice time working for us.”

Andrew’s duties in the Legislature included delivering documents to lawmakers and attending daily page school where students learn more about how state government operates. Students also sponsor mock legislation which they attempt to convince other pages from around the state to support.
