Enumclaw Police: Attempted Robbery with Knife, Domestic Disturbance and Resident Reports Prowler

The following information covering May 13 to May 14 and May 17 to May 20 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, May 13

Domestic Disturbance: A man was arrested for fourth-degree assault domestic violence A after police responded to the 1100 block of Cedar Drive for a reported domestic dispute between a man and woman.

Property Damage: Broken windows were reported at a property on the 2000 block of Kibler Avenue at 6:30 a.m.

Burglary: Police received a report at 5:55 p.m. that a residential burglary occurred prior at a home on the 2900 block of Olie Ann Place.

Minor in Possession: One male was cited and released for minor in possession after police responded to a noise complaint at 11:14 p.m. on the 900 block of Battersby Avenue.

Tuesday, May 14

DUI: One person was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop on Dickson Avenue at Mountain Villa Drive at 3:07 p.m. after police received a report of a recklessly driven vehicle.

Malicious Mischief: Police responded to the 1000 block of Bathke Avenue at 5:52 p.m. for a report of a damaged gate. The officer found no damage but the gate had been screwed shut from the outside. 

Shoplifting: Police received a report at 7:25 p.m. that two pairs of shoes were stolen from a business on the 800 block of Roosevelt Avenue.


Friday, May 17

Alcohol and Shoplifting Arrests: Police arrested three people (one for DUI and minor in possession, and two for shoplifting at Safeway) after responding to the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 2:04 a.m.

Domestic Disturbance: Citations for malicious mischief and violation of a no contact order were to be sent to a man associated with an address on the 700 block of Myrtine Street after police responded to the location at 5 a.m. for a disturbance between him, his partner and her family, who wouldn't let him in the house. He reportedly broke a window to gain access but left the scene. 

Suspicious Vehicle: King County Sheriff's Office advised Enumclaw PD at 3:48 p.m. of a vehicle associated with an earlier possible prowler. It was described as a gray 2000 Mazda with tinted windows and unknown plate.

Saturday, May 18

Reported Prowler: Police responded to a home on the 3500 block of Winter Place at 4:01 a.m. for a report of a prowler in the home. No one was found at the scene but extra patrols were done.

Vehicle Prowl: An iPhone was stolen from a vehicle parked on the 1700 block of First Street overnight.

Theft: Two shelving units were reported stolen at 9:41 a.m. from a garage on the 1900 block of Highpoint Street.

Burglary Assistance: Police responded to a home on the 44900 block of 284th Avenue S.E. at 9:18 p.m. for a report of a burglary in progress in which the homeowner has one person detained. Officers responded and secured the scene until King County could take over.

Sunday, May 19

Attempted Robbery: Police responded to the 1300 block of Garrett Street at 1:20 a.m. for a report of an attempted robbery at knife point. The suspect was gone when police arrived.

Assault: Police responded to the 1100 block of Spruce Drive at 5:10 p.m. for a report of an assault. The suspect left prior to officer arrival. Officers contacted suspect's parent for further contact.

Monday, May 20 

Vehicle Theft: Police received a report at 6:20 a.m. that a vehicle on the 100 block of Leo Place was stolen overnight. 

Attempted Theft: A citizen reported at 1:07 p.m. that subjects associated with a black Volkswagen Jetta were seen trying to take a speaker set out for sale in a parking lot on the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue. The citizen intercepted the attempted theft and the subjects left the scene. 

Trespassing: Two people were arrested for trespassing on a property on the 300 block of Chinook Avenue at 6:59 p.m. 

Minor in Possession: Police responded to the 300 block of Griffin Avenue at 8:56 p.m. for a report of an intoxicated male seen walking in traffic. He was arrested for minor in possession.
