Enumclaw Police: Cole Street Business Sign Stolen and Alert Released in Black Diamond Robbery Suspect

The following information from March 14 to March 17 was provided by the Enumclaw Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, March 15

Domestic Violence: Police received a report at 10:39 a.m. of a domestic violence assault that occurred earlier at a location on the 700 block of Watson Street North.

Speeders Beware: Extra patrol was requested for Birch Drive at Warner Avenue around school bus pick up and drop off times due to speeders in the area.

Reckless Driving: A driver was cited after police responded to Roosevelt Avenue and Griffin Avenue at 7:40 p.m. for a report of a recklessly driven vehicle that was in the wrong way on the road and veering off the road. There was no sign of a DUI; they were picked up by a family/friend.

DUI: A driver was arrested for DUI and third-degree driving while license suspended following a traffic top on Porter and Wilson at 11:46 p.m.

Saturday, March 16

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report that a vehicle on the 100 block of Jewell Street was prowled sometime between 12:15 a.m. and may have coincided with a large party in the cul de sac.

Suspicious Activity: Police received a report at 1:35 p.m. that an hour earlier, a man exited a newer silver Jeep Cherokee on the 1400 block of Davis Avenue and approached a truck to write down its VIN number. When confronted by a neighbor, the man reportedly returned to his vehicle and drove away.

Theft: A sign to a business on the 1500 block of Cole Street was reported stolen at 1:39 p.m.

DUI: Police contacted a game agent, at the request of Washington State Patrol, in the 100 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 2:12 p.m. regarding a reckless driver, who was later taking into custody for DUI.

Traffic Arrest: Police arrested a driver for a theft warrant out of Bonney Lake following a traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue East and Roosevelt Avenue at 10:02 p.m.

Sunday, March 17

Domestic Disturbance: Police observed a domestic incident in the parking lot on the 1300 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 1:33 a.m. and confirmed it was verbal only.

Outside Assistance: Police responded to Griffin Avenue and Highpoint Street at 6:41 a.m. regarding a reported assault that occurred on the 3600 block of Auburn Way South earlier. A dark Dakota pick up reportedly involved was last seen eastbound on SR 164.

Outside Assistance: Police were alerted by the King County Sheriff's Office at 8:32 a.m. regarding a robbery suspect wanted in Black Diamond. He was described as a passenger in a black Pontiac Firebird, black, in his 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a mustache and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans and may be in possession of a blue packpack and black/red ball cap.

Property Damage: Police received a report at 10:44 a.m. that a resident on the 2000 block of James Street found a nail in the tread of his vehicle tire and believes it was intentionally put there.
