Enumclaw Police: Vehicle Owner Thwarts Theft by Chasing Suspect, Building Burglarized, and Taggers Strike

Saturday, March 23
Keep It Down: Police responded to the 700 block of Watson Street North at 9:17 p.m. for a report of a possible domestic incident; it was just a family get together. The participants were warned if police had to come back, they'd be cited for public disturbance.

Property Damage: Police received a report at 3:20 a.m. that a garbage can near a pump at a business on the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue was damaged by fire. It was believed to be a careless throwing away of a cigarette rather than intentional damage.
Vehicle Theft: A citizen reported at 2:25 p.m. that his vehicle was taken from a parking lot on the 700 block of Myrtine Street without his permission. It was found the tow company was contacted by a man stating he was the owner and he wanted it towed because it was junk, but that man had no paperwork on the vehicle.

Defibrillator Found: Police were in possession of a defibrillator in a black case found on the side walk on the 1700 block of Cole Street at 6:47 p.m.
Monday, March 25
Egged: Someone egged the Griffin Avenue side of a building on the 1500 block of Cole Street the previous night.
Attempted Theft: Police received a report at 8:20 p.m. that a man was chasing a suspect who had just stolen items from his vehicle on the 2400 block of Griffin Avenue. The pursuit led the suspect to throw the stolen items into a yard and flee.
Property Damage: Night staff at a facility on the 200 block of Semanski Street reported at 11:15 p.m. finding several people tagging buildings. They caused about $500 in damages.
Tuesday, March 26
Gas Theft: The victim on the 2700 block of Warner Avenue reported at 12:10 a.m. that they found a gas can and a hose next to a family car. They reported a blue and white Chevy pickup might be associated with the theft.
Burglary: Police responded to a building on the 1800 block of Garrett Street at 9:26 a.m. for a break-in and property damage. A window was broken in the rear of the building and a section of fence was missing. Damages were estimated at about $400. A black lifted Ford Excursion and silver Acura may be involved.
No Soliciting: Police contacted a solicitor on the 1900 block of Gossard Street at 2:12 p.m. and advised them to stop. A second incident was reported on the 3000 block of Link Avenue at 2:23 p.m. They were all leaving the area.
