Enumclaw Robbery Sparks Car Chase, Possible Shooting: Report

ENUMCLAW, WA - A wild scene unfolded in Enumclaw Saturday night after a robbery sparked a car chase and an apparent shooting, according to the Seattle P-I. A 38-year-old Enumclaw man allegedly robbed another man and then hopped in his car and fled the scene. His passenger, a woman, asked to get out, but the alleged robber would not let her.

According to the report, the victim told police the suspect, Jacob Simpson, jumped him and robbed him at knifepoint. But the woman told police she and Simpson had gone to buy drugs from the victim, and Simpson allegedly robbing the drugs.

No matter the cause of the robbery, the victim chased Simpson along SR 164, according to the P-I. The victim told a 911 dispatcher that Simpson had fired shots at him during the pursuit, according to the report.

Simpson was arrested by Enumclaw police without incident after he pulled into the driveway of a home.
