Enumclaw Rotary Club Names January and February Students of the Month

Due to inclement weather in January, the Rotary Club honored both January and February students of the month during its February meeting.

The Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized the following four students as Students of The Month at their February 9, 2012 meeting.

Ryan Chynoweth, son of Regina and Tony Chynoweth of Enumclaw, was the January recipient from Enumclaw High School.  A strong academic student, Ryan has a 3.985 high school GPA.   He is a member of the high school leadership team and also plays and serves as captain for both the football and basketball teams.  Ryan hopes to attend a university this fall and hopes to play football while working towards becoming a math teacher.

Molly Colyer, daughter of Debbie Colyer of Enumclaw and Todd Colyer of Bonney Lake, was the February recipient from Enumclaw High School.  A strong academic student and National Honor Society member, Molly has a 3.9 high school GPA.   Her activities include volleyball for the high school and at the club level and as a member of the school leadership team and Key Club.  Molly is hoping to have a career as a dental hygienist and is planning on attending either Washington State University or Pierce College where she would also play volleyball.

Marcus Dickson, son of Elizabeth and Dane Dickson of Buckley, was the January recipient from White River High School.  A strong academic student Marcus has a 3.8 cumulative GPA.  An Eagle Scout, Marcus also participates on the high school leadership team, Interact Club and is a state champion in track and cross country.   Marcus plans to attend a four year university this fall with an interest in physical therapy.

Cassidy France, daughter of Nita and Joe France of Buckley, was the February recipient from White River High School.  A strong academic student and National Honor Society member, Cassidy has a 4.0 cumulative GPA.  Athletically she has participated in soccer, fast ball and track.   Other school activities include being a member of the Interact Club and as part of the leadership team.  Cassidy plans to attend either Eastern Washington University or Portland State this fall with an interest in physical therapy.
