Enumclaw Woman Dies in Crash

She was in a car that tried to do a U-turn on Highway 18 to help a disabled vehicle when it collided with a semi truck.

A 47-year-old Enumclaw woman died when the vehicle she was in tried to do a U-turn to help a disabled vehicle when it collided with a semi truck.

Cheryl L. Bach, 47, died at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, a Washington State Patrol news release today says.

The 65-year-old driver of the vehicle, Ronald B. Reinhardt of Snoqualmie, died at the scene.

The crash occurred at 11:41 Wednesday night July 7. The 2006 Subaru Impreza that Bach was in was westbound on State Route 18 at Raging River, milepost 26. The semi truck, driven by Juan Nunez, 45, of Yakima, was following behind.

When the car Bach was in attempted a U-turn to go eastbound on Highway 18 to help a disabled brown pickup on the shoulder the collision occurred.

Nunez was not injured. The 2001 freight truck he was in sustained $10,000 in damage.
