The 45th Annual Daffodil Arabian Horse Association of Washington is working hard to “Pony Up Bucks for the Kids” who use the Children’s Therapy Unit at Multi Care Good Samaritan Hospital during their Daffodil Dual Spring Show. This event will be held at the Puyallup Fairgrounds on April 29-May 1, 2011. The Daffodil Club board of directors researched information on local charities and discovered this amazing program only a mile from the show grounds.
The mission of Children’s Therapy Unit is to empower children and families to discover their possibilities. The unit serves approximately 2600 children annually with over 37,000 hours of treatment. Children, from birth to age eighteen, receive unparalleled care from speech, physical and occupational therapists, psychological services and highly individualized programs such as Orthotics, Assistive Technology and Movement Analysis and Research-all in one building. As insurance coverage for therapies is limited, CTU families appreciate donations from the community to bridge the gap while keeping patients connected to the very best care.
The show will hold a raffle for gift certificates from both Show Season and J Lewis Jewelry plus a four night stay at an ocean side condo in Mazatlan, Mexico. There will be a stallion auction along with additional offerings. Youth exhibitors will get a chance to “Ride a BIG buck for the Kids” class and much more.
