Third Annual Boots and Badges Charity Basketball Game

In 2010 a group of Police Officers from the Enumclaw and Black Diamond Police Departments joined together to give back to their communities. From this urge to serve others, the Boots and Badges Charity Basketball Game was born.

The "Law Dawgs" took on the "Smoke Eaters" from the Enumclaw Fire Department in a basketball game to benefit the American Cancer Society. In all, over $10,000.00 was raised, going directly to the Relay for Life Cancer Walk.

In 2011, officers from the Auburn, Bonney Lake, and Kent Police Departments, as well as from the Department of Corrections, fortified the "Law Dawgs" posse who came away with a big 54-31 win over the "Smoke Eaters." This event helped organizers raise another $5,000 for Relay for Life.

The teams are back for their third annual game on Saturday May 19. Will the "Smoke Eaters" reclaim their first-year title win? Will the "Law Dawgs" let them? We'll have to see...
