Firearm Stolen, Tires Slashed and Cows Attended to in May 15 and May 16 Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday, May 16.

Tuesday, May 15

Cows: Police received a report of a cow loose on the 800 block of Roosevelt Avenue at 9:44 a.m. Upon officer arrival it appeared the animal had returned home and was no longer in the roadway.

An officer on patrol saw two cows that appeared to be stuck in a type of commercial cattle feeder for four hours on the 27300 block of S.E. 440th Street. He wasn't able to contact the owner of the property but was able to free the cows at 12:49 p.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: Police responded at 12:14 p.m. to a third hand report that there appeared to be several quick transactions happening between high school students and a red Gremlin-type vehicle at Flentsted Park. The responding officer received permission from the vehicle's driver to search the vehicle and found nothing suspicious.

Juveniles: Police responded to a report of three teens on the roof of a building on Cole Street at Griffin Avenue at 7:03 p.m. When a citizen confronted them, he was reportedly threatened. The teens told the officer they accidentally threw a cell phone on the roof and went to retrieve it. The matter was settled.

Tires Slashed: A tire on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Semanski Street was reported slashed at 7:08 p.m.

Domestic Dispute: Police responded to a verbal domestic dispute at a property on Gossard Street at 8:22 p.m.

Wednesday, May 16

Juveniles: Police responded to a report of a youth on the roof of a building on the 1600 block of Fell Street at 1:10 a.m. The youth was counseled and the matter was settled.

Accident Hit and Run: Police received a report at 8:07 a.m. of a one-car accident on State Route 410 at Cole Street  in which a sign was broken. WSDOT was notified of the sign. Police contacted the registered owner of the vehicle at 8:46 a.m. about making restitution for the damaged sign.

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report at 1:02 p.m. of a vehicle prowl that occurred on the 2500 block of Warner Avenue, believed to have happened sometime overnight.

Police responded to a report at 3:36 p.m. of a vehicle prowl that occurred on the 2200 block of Scandia Avenue. It was determined that a firearm was stolen.

Suspect Vehicle: Police checked the area around Roosevelt Avenue and Garrett Street at 8:26 p.m. following a report of a silver Chevy Blazer with two female occupants possibly with Illinois license plates that is connected to the theft of a leather wallet and cell phone from Auburn.
