Flashing for Water and Son Refuses to Return Elderly Mom's Car in July 25 Blotter

Noise Complaint: Police responded to a complaint that someone was yelling while walking down Cole Street at 1:18 a.m. They made contact and the person agreed to keep it down.

Seeking Water: Police responded with Washington State Patrol at 4:10 a.m. to a report that a party of two people and a dog was flashing down vehicles with a flashlight on State Route 410 at 244th Avenue S.E. and asking for water. Police made contact and the situation was resolved; they were walking home.

Vehicle Prowl: Police received a report at 10:35 a.m. that a disabled parking placard was stolen from a vehicle parked on Myrtine Street.

A resident on Pioneer Street reported at 5:47 p.m. that his vehicle had been prowled sometime overnight. Nothing was stolen and it was unclear if damage reported to the windshield was associated with the prowling or existing rock chip damage.

Burglary: A residential burglary was reported at 1:12 p.m. at a home on Gossard Place.

Speeders Beware: Extra patrol has been requested for the 1100 block of Lafromboise Street at Nielsen Avenue due to speeders, particularly in the afternoon while people are returning home from work.

Son Takes Car: Police were contacted by an elderly woman on Watson Street at 6:01 p.m. who reported her son borrowed her car earlier in the day but was now saying she was no longer capable of driving so he wasn't going to give it back.

Concerned Citizen: Police received a report at 7:22 p.m. from a resident on Washington Avenue who reported a woman was sitting in a vehicle and acting oddly. Aid was requested and she was taken to the hospital.

Wallet Found: A wallet was found on Monroe Avenue at 10:02 p.m. and turned into police. They were unable to locate a phone number and so sent a letter to the address on the license in the wallet.
