Four DUIs, Three Assaults, Two Residential Burglaries, and One Shoplifting Incident in Weekend Police Blotter

A roundup of Enumclaw police reports from Friday, Jan. 6 through Sunday, Jan. 8.

Friday, Jan. 6

Residential Burglary: A resident on Initial Place reported at 1:44 p.m. that someone entered her home and took a Toshiba laptop computer valued at $750.

Animal Complaint: Police received a report at 6:12 p.m. that a large brown dog has been loose in the area of the 600 block of Myrtine Street for the past few days. Officers checked the area but didn't find the dog. The reporting party was given information for contacting King County Animal Control.

No DUI: Police pulled over a white Mercedes on State Route 164 at 244th Avenue S.E. at 7:22 p.m. following a reporting of a possible DUI -- they found the driver was not impaired.

No Dumping: Police responded to a report of someone dumping garbarge outside of a semi truck in the area of Griffin Avenue at First Street at 9:25 p.m. The person was looking for a lost check and would pick up the garbage.

Malicious Mischief: Police received a report at 9:55 p.m. that someone had thrown garbage into the front yard of a home on Harmony Lane. Photos were taken but there were no suspects or damages.

Parking Enforcement: Extra patrol has been requested for the area of Petersen Drive East in Elk Meadows as vehicles are parking in ways that will block emergency vehicle access to the development.

Accident: Police assisted fire with an injury accident on S.E. 400th Street at 268th Avenue S.E. at 10:26 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 7

DUI: One man was arrested for DUI and unlawful possession of a firearm after a traffic stop on 248th Avenue S.E. at S.E. 448th Street at 12:21 a.m. His passenger was evaluated and given a ride home to Buckley.

Police arrested a woman for DUI and a man she was arguing with for obstructing the vehicle after receiving a report at 2:56 a.m. that they were arguing on Washington Avenue neary Battersby. The man was on foot and the woman was driving up and down the road erratically, almost hitting parked vehicles. 

One person was arrested for a DUI following a traffic stop on Railroad Street at 11:56 p.m.

TP'd: Police received a report at 8:03 a.m. that a residence on Willow Drive was being covered in toilet paper and garbage cans used as barricades. It was determined that it was a situation involving the resident's son and another juvenile. The resident declined to assist in prosecution. The officer was trying to contact the other juvenile and have them stop the activity.

Courtesy Ride: Police received a report at 11:11 a.m. that a man was rolling on the ground on the side of the road in the area of Roosevelt Avenue at Cole Street. An officer gave the man a courtesy ride to Buckley.

Assault: Police responded to a report of an assault on Cole Street at 12:14 p.m. but all parties denied an assault took place.

A man was arrested for fourth degree assault and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a report from King County at 11:03 p.m. that a female was running from a male on Roosevelt Avenue. 

Residential Burglary: Three flatscreen TVs and a computer were stolen from a residence on Warner Avenue. Police received the report at 4:04 p.m. It was believed to have happened sometime between 11 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Saturday.

Sunday, Jan. 8

Obstructing Justice: One person was booked for obstructing after police responded to a report of a blue, lifted Ford pick up truck that was doing donuts in a parking lot on Roosevelt Avenue at 1:18 a.m. 

DUI: One person was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop on LaFromboise Street at Edith Avenue at 2:05 a.m.

Shoplifting: Police received a report at 2:19 a.m. of a shoplifting incident that was caught on video at QFC the night before. An officer was requested for review. The suspects are identifiable by the store and would be trespassed if they return.

Assault: Police responded to a physical domestic violence report at 11:43 p.m. on Cottonwood Drive. A woman was taken into custody for fourth degree assault domestic violence.
