- Why Go: Find hundreds of plants for your home and garden and lots of garden art too. Get there early before all the choice plants are gone!

- Where/When: Puyallup Fairgrounds, SillyVille (Enter at Purple Gate), Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Auction begins at 10 a.m.
- Why Go:Β Silver's Puyallup auction is a 100 car collector auction. Puyallup tends to draw cars and buyers from the west and east side of the Cascade Mountains in the Northwest. The facilities and additional customer drop-in traffic from other events going on at the Fairgrounds makes this auction lively and action-packed for buyers, sellers and spectators. This is a venue for the whole family to enjoy.

- Why Go:Β As a rallying point for the Be the Spark movement, started in Tacoma as a way to build community, organizers are bringing Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Desmond Tutu to the Tacoma Dome as one of his last U.S. public appearances. Desmond Tutu stands as an example of how one person's actions have a dramatic influence on the entire community. Come and be inspired.

Freighthouse Square Train Event
- Where/When: Freighthouse Square, 2501 East D Street, Tacoma, Saturday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Why Go: You won't want to miss a weekend of train-related events in Tacoma! From special tours of a modern Sounder train to excursions on a restored vintage steam engine train to model train layouts, there's something fun planned for the whole family.
